NEW YEAR, NEW HOPES


Why do we celebrate the beginning of a year? Why do we have such thing as "New Year"? (with capitals). What is so special about January 1 that it's always been a holiday? (Homework, homework).

In accordance with those beautifully-written greetings, e-cards, emails, sms, New Year celebrations reflect the hopes for better future.

We often forget that a new year means a year closer to our grave (normally!).

And we don't usually remember that January 1 is actually, and eventually, just another day...

Why should we celebrate it then????
